The ashes - well somebody had too didn't they!

Well done chaps - I'm sure the chaps a b3ta will be posting all day and all week but these two are the mint so far.

It all began back in August 1882 when Austarlia beat England at home for the first time ever. It was a defeat which shocked the sporting world - an a few cats. The sporting Times newspaper printed a tribute to the death of English cricket and said it's body would be cremated and the ashes sent to Australia. These mythical 'ashes' turned real when England next toured Australia. The Aussies presented then England captain (go on the Vaughny) Ivo Bligh with a real set of ashes, made from a burnt bail, In a small pot (as seen at the top of this post) - These ashes, kept in glass cage at Lord's, sparked the start of the tournament, and now im afraid thats where they will stay for at least 2 years. Wooooo .

And by the way for some reason i feel this victory wasnt quite as big as winning the Rugby in Australia 2003 (20-17 wilkinson kick) - but it is sweeet all teh same - I suppose now i'll have to find something different to talk about at work as the last 7 weeks has been cricket cricket cricket - which is odd as most people hate it - Now its bloody brilliant - Lets all hop on the bandwagon! Thanks to b3ta for the images
